Spring Bulletin Board Ideas

Spring is a great time to give those bulletin boards and classroom decorations a fresh look. Maybe you are looking for a motivational quote to inspire students or a growth mindset theme. Or maybe you just want something that is bright and colorful. Whatever you are looking for, I’ve gathered some of my favorite bulletin board kits to save you time. Most of these are not subject-specific and could work for elementary, middle, or high school. I’ll share a few math related ones at the end!

These 3D paper flowers really pop on a bulletin board! They make the perfect spring display or a photo backdrop for students at the end of the year.

You can find the paper flower templates along with different options for letters here.

Students love taking pictures in front of this wing bulletin board! Think you could never create these giant wings? Think again! There’s a template that takes all the guess work out of the arrangement of the feathers. Just pick the colors you want, print the feathers, and follow the instructions. Some teachers have students decorate the feathers to make a truly one-of-a-kind display.

St. Patrick’s Day is March 17, and shamrocks are a perfect theme for a bulletin board. This one makes students think about what might look good luck! Choose from a variety of phrases on the clover or have students create their own.

Teacher Appreciation Week is the beginning of May. If you are helping out at your child’s school, one way to show appreciation for teachers and staff is with this bulletin board that says, “Heroes work here.” The giant letters are formed from pieces cut from regular paper. Just follow the instructions to assemble!

I love a plant theme, and it’s perfect for a fresh look in the spring. This door decoration encourages students to have a growth mindset as they consider, “What will you grow today?” The potted succulents and cactus plants have words like confidence, perseverance, creativity, focus, and problem solving skills. Choose the ones that fit your class and create this colorful display!

Speaking of plants, how about plant posters with puns! And they’re math-related! These posters are perfect for a math classroom this spring. They have a simple, clean design, and hopefully they’ll get some laughs from students.

Look closely at the flower on this math bulletin board… It’s made of polygons! This board has a positive message that “Math helps us bloom!” And, you can create the flower yourself by cutting out the included polygons and assembling them as shown in the kit. It’s a great way to get students learning the names of different 2D shapes.

Do your students ever ask, “When are we going to use this?” This door decoration answers the question of how we use math in different careers and in everyday life. It says, “Our futures are bright with math” and features sunglasses showing different ways your students will use math in the future. You might also have your students research the career or their choice and create their own pair of sunglasses to hang on the door or bulletin board.

Connect math with basketball with this door! It says, “Math is ballin” and has basketballs with math problems, each relating to the game of basketball. You could make solving the problems an activity for early finishers or a competition.
